Why can't I be heard on landline?

Got a feee landline phone from ee with my battery back up. Seems to work fine, except no-one seems to be able to hear me clearly when I phone out. I can hear them.  Is there a way to turn up my volume so I sound louder? Please note, this is a landline, from ee, to replace my old bt one, which never had this problem! It is correctly set up, before anyone asks!

@Mumsy53 This is a reported fault on the EE DV system at present the quick way to clear is switch your router off, wait about 30 seconds, power it back on, will take about 5 minutes for the router to re boot and connect, try your phone after that if working, please report your findings back.
