Why EE?

Ok - I know this is a EE Community but I am going to put the question out there.

Why should I keep my broadband with EE?

Background - contract is up with EE and I am looking around - monthly prices from Sky are the same for Broadband and TV (+/- £1) but I can get 5000Mbps with Sky vs 900 Mbps with EE - ok 900Mbps is more than enough but I always like overdoing things.  Also I always wanted to upgrade my Broadband with EE but cannot go higher than 900Mbps package with TV and EE don't seem to be sorting this out / changing this.

Sky seems to win on TV so Broadband is the decider for me (I cannot help but think maybe it is just time for a change.)

@Herbhead Here is the simple, FF500 and save a shed load off money! Also answered a few off your sky Asked questions when you pop across the sites!

To get anywhere near the 5Gb/s speed you will need all 10Gb/s Ethernet equipment not any wifi device going to get you anywhere near that and the Internet well what can one say,,, not use a sky supplied hub or toaster as it's called now, mini furnace, home heat helper, fire waiting to happen And not one single device sky has yet to help wireless speed's apart from there wifi5 pods although the sure give you those for free giveaway!

@Minkey1 How are we doing, thought you had hibernated for the winter, that's called the Bahamas for the winter time restful!

@Northerner Waiting on that 8Gb/s OR symmetrical to come out, know what i mean leap into the Abyss and pure bragging rights with that one?

Still pop in, tho not always logged in.

@JimM11

I’m old enough to remember that first upgrade to BB from dial up.

0.5 meg -  and IIRC - £50pm and £250 for an engineer visit 🤦🏼‍♂️

@Minkey1 Stop it, do not need that screeching noise in my head again, trying to listen and hoping a connection got made! Bad enough fighting off the Tinnitus! When Engineers were Engineers, not now wonder if you could get the papers in a lucky bag if that still existed! Memory lane walk down!😶🤣

@Herbhead

No, used them for years, in fact I was with Sky before which was excellent and only moved from Sky becase they fitted Cityfibre. At the time Sky was on the BT payroll and not available on Cityfibre, but now available.

Thanks
