Apologies in advance, non techy person here! Changing from BT to EE, new router has arrived, due to be connected by 11.59pm on the 16th. At what point do I connect up the new router? Do I have to wait up till midnight or, if I connect it up tonight or in the morning, will I have no internet till it connects?

@Gidgetbookworm As the new router is same service as BT/EE you should be able to change it and it should work on both services. Do you have like for like service from both suppliers. Would plug it in, and connect as previous, takes about 4 mins to boot up, when you have aqua light, connection to internet is good. Please keep hold of the old BT router until you are completely happy that all is working as you need. There is 60 days before you need to return anything if it was requested. Are any smart wi-fi boosters involved in you change over?

As you are coming from BT you should be able to connect the EE router at any time. You might have to manually set the BB PPPoE Username/pwd which is the same as BT's: bthomehub@btbroadband.com /BT or blank as it might not get auto set while on BT BB.
