Where to start?
having recently took over my mothers financial affairs I discovered she was being charged £113 a month for broadband, TNT sport and a mobile, about 70mbps and a no data phone plan. BT.
my mother passed away recently and that is when I discovered this. I reside in the house enquired as to the outrageous charges and was arranged a broadband only 300 plan after waiting 5 days. Given a £140 goodwill credit and a monthly charge of £29 a month. An engineer was booked but never appeared. After ringing BTakaEE I was told the 300 plan was £62 and I would be better off with 900 at £65. Again an engineer would be coming Openreach for BT for EE! I’d still have my credit. Shortly after I received various messages telling me I’d be up and running for 15 November.!!!
I rang them again to enquire as to what was going on and was told my deal/contract was ‘open’ and nothing could be done.
I then get more messages saying 12 October if i wanted. Day off, engineer makes the connection. Up and running. Billed and debited £42 for 700 deal and then my broadband stops. No sign of my goodwill credit, getting texts from BT and EE to view my bill online and am left with no service at all, just a suggestion that I use my mobile as a home spot. I could go on but am totally cheesed off with this nonsense.

What lights are showing on the ONT? & on the router? Which router is it?
Not clear whether you are with BT as was your mother or EE. They are separate ISPs. What is full name of your BB plan?
The prices you've been quoted are dearer than what's on sale now @ EE BB Deals . There is no 700 Meg deal there.
