Web pages unable to load

Since moving from BT broadband to EE certain devices (particularly Android) have intermittently failed to connect / communicate / resolve Web addresses.

Activating cloudflare warp 1.1.1.1 fixes the issue but brings other occasional connection issues.

I can only surmise that this is either an EE DNS issue or an issue with how the router resolved Ipv6 resolutions.

Anyone else experienced this issue?

Hi @SirusMonk

Could be anything from content lock to just random chance. Cleared site cache on your devices?

What sites are you having issues with to establish if there is any pattern.

Thanks

Hi @Northerner,

It's any and most sites intermittently.

Just tried Iceland and got the usual error message, turn on Cloudflare and all fine. After research I believe it is likely to be linked to Ipv6 calls not resolving quickly enough though with the EE hub you can't turn Ipv6 off to check if this is the case.

You may turn IPv6 off from the router: Advanced > IPv6 > Config > IPv6 address allocation > Allocation mode > OFF.

Thanks @XRaySpeX

Didn't realise this option actually turned it off.

So now set to off in my hub, Iceland site loaded without cloudflare active. Will see how it goes over the next few days.

Thanks

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

Unfortunately, same errors occurring and even worse EE box stopped working until I changed the setting back again and restarted the hub.

So back to square ONE. Forgot to mention, turning off the WiFi on problem devices and using mobile data fixes the problem but is completely impractical as a daily solution.

"EE box" is EE TV box.
