I believe my network is slow.
I pay for 500mb and not even getting 150 consistently.
Therefore, I am trying to use EEs speed checker, but first you need to check 'service in your area'.
Even this won't work. Seems like a con to try and not let me check my speed as they know I'll be out of the contract before the day is over...

There’s a free broadband speed test app, look for Speedtest by ookla, online think that’s the company, name, sorry if I misspelt it. it’s also available as a mobile app, look in the relevant App Store depending on what device you’ve got.

@Nitrosnail Use this speed test, the speed to your device does not matter if wireless connected. Best to use ethernet connected device if possible, will give you the truest speed indication.

Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.
1. Try a wired speedtest, using an Ethernet cable supplied with the router, here http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html . Click on the "Results Page" button at the bottom of the graph you first see and then copy to here just the "Link to this result:" link that you see below the next main graph.
2. What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker, not the Postcode Checker.
