Using own router

hi getting fttp 500 installed on Tuesday and wondering if I can use my own router (flint2) in place of the supplied one ?

You should be able to by connecting the WAN to the ONT and using the PPPoE Credentials found here: https://ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/using-and-configuring-a-third-party-router

However if you are having DV you cannot replace the supplied router.
