Hey everyone, I recently upgraded to EE’s FTTP service and got the new Smart Hub SH32B (apparently called the Smart Hub 3). Since switching, I’ve noticed a couple of problems:
1. The EE Home App doesn’t seem to work with the new Smart Hub 3.
2. My older white WiFi disks (about 2 years old) won’t connect to the new router either.
Before upgrading, I was using the Smart Hub 2 (the slim white router), and everything worked perfectly. The WiFi disks gave great coverage around the house, and I could manage the network easily through the EE Home App.
The only real difference I can see between the two routers is that the new one supports WiFi 6, while the old one uses WiFi 5. WiFi 6 should be better for speed and handling multiple devices, but losing the WiFi disks and app compatibility is making me second-guess the upgrade.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to get the WiFi disks working with the new Smart Hub 3, or would I be better off going back to the Smart Hub 2 with the disks? Would appreciate any advice or similar experiences. By the way, i’m on 150mb fttp.

@Temporary_acc as the WiFi disks are not compatible with your new Smart Hub plus, and your older router is more than capable of dealing with 150Mbps, you would be better to go back to the old router.
There are Disk suitable for the Smart Hub plus, but I beleive they cost extra.

@Temporary_acc The EE home app is NOT designed to work with the newer EE Smarthub+ Router. Use the later app EE: Game, Home, Work & Learn. If you do not have any wi-fi 6 devices, not much to gain, and there is only a slight speed increase from 5 to 6 and will not even be noticed on a FF 150 feed, if your old gear is all working, then as @Mustrum pointed out go back and start using.
