Hey All
i upgraded yesterday to SH Pro from SH Plus all is working but the EE App fails to connect to my router.
so I cannot check parental controls and devices or set up the WiFi Pro Extender.
I am still on the same package and opted to just upgrade the router but I don’t see much benefit from my previous setup.
i find the routers very locked down in terms of turning off bands on extenders and setting your own WiFi Channels for 5ghz. A pain as my TV don’t use the set 149 channel on 5ghz so I have to keep pressing Rescan to lower channel.
none of my devices connect to the 6ghz the only benefit I can think off is that the router and extender will use this band to communicate.
i am now thinking of cancelling the upgrade do I still have a 14 day cooling off period?

@FAM0422UK Extender can be setup without an app!

Cooling off call EE CS and they will tell you, what you have and can do!

@FAM0422UK - Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and going through the hub pairing journey again? You shouldn't need to but could be that the app is still expecting to see your SH Plus and is getting confused 🤷
Obvious benefits are improved wireless speeds between hub and extender (thus in theory, anything connected to the extender), marginally improved wireless speeds on 2.4GHz/5GHz if you have WiFi 7 devices (which I'm guessing you probs don't if nothing supports 6GHz), higher speed LAN ports (only really 'shines' if your broadband is > 1Gbps) and extra LAN ports on the extenders.
