Unreliable connection

Pez70

Hi all, I  changed my wireless password 2 days ago and have had to reconnect my devices using the new password. Some devices don’t recognise the new password whilst those that do now frequently drop off the network. Anyone got any suggestions? I’ve rebooted devices and the router and gone round in circles with the bot but nothing seems to work. The helpline mentions ‘amazing uk based tech teams’ who can call me but I can’t find them! Thanks

Hi @Pez70

Welcome to our community.

I haven't heard of a problem like this before, is there anything in common with those devices unable to connect such as operating system etc?

@Pez70 Worth having a look at what your password is, and double check some devices will not work well with specific characters or even the amount off characters in use for the password! You can always Factory reset the hub back to the defaults and start again!

If you need do a search in a browser wifi password character limit

Thanks JimM11 - appreciate it and will give those suggestions a go!
Thanks Lesley, the devices are all different and the reliability of
connectivity is getting worse. Just had it fail during an online GP
consultation. Will try again to contact a human - thanks for your help and
the links

Kind regards

@Pez70 - if you haven't tried already, I would suggest 'forgetting'/deleting the saved WiFi connection from the list of known networks on the affected devices and trying to connect them from scratch to see if that helps.

Thanks Bob, did try that but to no joy - I've got a couple of options to
try now so hopefully one will pay off!
