Unable to link legacy EE broadband

Hello, I am unable to link my EE broadband account. I tried going through the linking process by providing account number and mobile phone pin but it had an error linking.

I joined EE during the merger of BT so I'm not sure if it's related to that.

I remember posting on here a while ago about this issue:

Any help would be great!

Many thanks!

There's been no merger with BT. They are separate ISPs with their own products & services. They are both subsidiaries of the BT Group.

What is the name of the EE BB plan are you on including its speed? What letters does your BB account number start with?

Hi there,

Ah okay. I was under the impression something happened between them both a few years back. Thank you for clarifying.

I am on the Fibre 67 Essentials - Down: 66.24 - 73.6 Mbps and Upload: 16.6 - 18.4 Mbps.

Hope this helps?

You're not on EE legacy BB but on New EE BB which was introduced about the time you joined & also when BT wanted all residential users to take their BB from EE.

Do you know why I am unable to link it to my account then? Can someone at EE forcefully link it? If so, who do I need to speak to?

Many thanks!

What letters does your BB account number start with? Do you already have a mobile device linked to your a/c?

You would need to phone CS to sort it.

If you are just using an all-numeric a/c no. it's not the right 1. New EE BB a/c nos. start with "GB" followed by 8 digits.
