Unable to connect phones to wifi

Has EE been down today? We have been unable to connect our phones and other devices to wifi all day. Also our 4G has only just started working. Just wondering if it is a problem with EE or the router.

It should be on a label on the router as the admin pwd.

I ended up putting  a pin in the reset button and then I had to set it all up from scratch on the app.  I just hope I entered and selected the correct details. I couldn't even get to the page to put the settings in that you suggested.

It stil isn't working so I've bought a new TP Link router. I'll try and post a pic of the lights that are on the router now. I can't remember if there were more lights on there when it was working.

Thank you for all you've done so far, but I may need help setting up the new one.

There is no DSL port on the new router to connect the DSL cable that is coming from the ADSL filter on the wall. Can it be done any other way?

@Coz21  it sounds like you bought the wrong router. Unless you have full fibre, you need the DSL version you used before.

But rather than use the app to set it up, iy is often easier to use a browser on a PC/Laptop or even tablet rather than a phone.

Have a look at the following Help pages for the router settings, try again with the original router.

Thank you. Do you know if TP Link still sell routers with a DSL connection and where could I get one from?

@Coz21   you could pop to your nearest Currys (other shops are available) or you could give EE a call, they should be able to send you a new router, which will work out of the box, no config needed.

Thanks. I could be waiting a while for EE to send one. I'd rather just buy one today if possible. So if I go to Currys and ask if they have a router with a DSL connection that should work? There is no modem, it's  just the router I am using and it's standard EE broadband, not fibre. Is there anything else I need to inform them when asking?

The 1 you said you had 1st, TP Link AC1600 wireless gigabit VDSL/ADSL modem router Archer VR600, is  suitable.

@Coz21   I would ask EE anyway, it is always handy to have one, and if you ever have issues it is easier for support to help you. It should only take a day or two to arrive.

It depends on your budget, but I think any of those DSL modem/routers in the link in my last post should be fine.  I see they mention fibre, but that is fibre to the cabinet, they all have an in built modem. As long as you are on ADSL/VDSL they should be fine, but they are not for G.Fast.
