Transfer from BT broadband

Hi. I’ve just transferred from BT to EE bb (900mb fibre). I’ve set up my new re router and done the steps. The router is working fine with the aqua light…. But the WiFi signal in the house is still the old BT network name and password. Does it transfer over at a later point to the new EE credentials?

it’s not a biggie because the WiFi is still working, but I wondered if this indicated that I’ve not done the set up properly and need to start again

I did also use the option to transfer all my connected devices, so is the new network perhaps masquerading as the old one to avoid having to use the new credentials?

Yes, by choosing the transfer option it basically takes your old settings and applies them to the new router. Best to make sure you keep a record of the settings for any new devices you want to connect..
