Hi everyone
I'm trying to switch from BT Business 900 FTTP to EE 1.6Gbps residential package. I select everything, fill the details out, then I select by povider and it says I can easily migrate over. I then log in with my BT Business credentials, and then it says there's been an error pulling in my details.
I'm 3 months away from my end of contract with BT Business and I'm prepared to take the hit from leaving early. Should I contact EE or BT Business in order to migrate over because I'm reading conflicting advice.

You can't switch from <= 1 Gig FF to 1.6 Gig FF within the BT Group. They are different provisioning systems. You need to be a new customer to the BT Group to order 1.6 Gig FF.

Thank you for the reply. So am I best contacting EE in this instance? I can see this is going to be fun and games.

Not while you're still a customer of BT's. You won't achieve 1.6 Gig FF.

What I want to achieve is terminating early from BT Business and starting up with EE. If I contact EE, is this something they can action?

No, you need to cancel with BT 1st with 30 days notice before you may order 1.6 Gig FF from EE.

So I rang EE today and spoke to a fantstic Guide. The service is being treated as a take over because BT Business is part of the BT Group. An openreach engineer is coming out to replace the ONT box to one that can handle 1.6Gbps speeds which will cause 30 minutes of downtime and everthing will cut over. Might not go as smoot as that on the day but so far so good.
