Switched from BT to EE and unable to access Landline voicemail

I have switched my elderly Mum from BT to EE and she can no longer access her voicemails on her landline phone.

If she dials 1571 she gets a recorded message telling her about the different dialling tones.

I have left her VM's as a test. Does anyone know if this is something she now needs to pay for?..or just some different settings we need to apply?

any help appreciated

@margaretsg Will find the relevant help links for package etc. But quick look seems that if you have digital voice then it is a standard option, It does take a few day's when moving from BT setup to the New EE setup for it all to settle down and start to work correctly just incase your move is very recent. Take a look at the links as i find them. Looks like if you click on the items within the link below will take you to all the places you need to go. HTH

Thank you for your reply. It isn't actually an EE phone, just one she had originally therefore I'm not sure the links apply.

It doesn't need to be an EE phone. You can use any phone on digital landline just like you could on the old copper landline.

The above link relates to specialised EE slave handset that connects to a base station within the router by wireless. For a more general advice pertaining to any phone see Using Your Digital Home Phone Features

But when you switched her BB from BT to EE did you include digital voice?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

@margaretsg If you scroll down when you have opened the link you will see " See all Digital Home Phone help " click on that, think that they are just using there own phone as the guide, as it has obviously all the features, so you have to work out what your phone is capable off, but standard voicemail should not be a problem, it may be that you have to listen as it is asking to reset options or press something to go further. Do not use the feature so cannot guide this way. BT to EE may not be exactly the same, and looks like it is about 3 day's after switch over of service before it all settles down. Also below link to cost's etc regarding which type of phone package you have settled on. And 2nd link this info is all on the EE help so you know. HTH

Did this get sorted? I've just moved my elderly father from BT to ee, and like the posting above,  he's lost his 1571 voicemail.

It worked fine on his bt digital voice phones.

Been 2 days now and 2 hours chatting to ee staff who don't know why.  We've reset hub reset phone.  It's now been logged as a fault,  but it seems others have this problem....

I should add, free voice mail is Included in the ee package but when you dial 1571 it says BT voicemail is not activated . Visit BT.com to activate for free. But he's now ee?! It seems that the moves are not moving the voicemail across
