Hi

ive just had fibre installed with an ONT box on my wall. How do I swap the ee smart hub for my ASUS routers as I’d like to create a mesh network.  I read somewhere you connect to WLAN port and login with PPPOE but which login do I use?

thanks

No, You connect the ONT to the WAN port of the router by Ethernet.

In Home Broadband settings you'll find everything you need to set up your own router.

Thanks. When reading that link it seems to say that the username and password is set when the ee smarthub is installed and after parental controls are set. I didn’t have any of that though , I just opened the smarthub box and plugged it in and it worked .

The BB Username & pwd are auto set when an EE router is 1st used. Nowt to do with any parental controls.

Thanks but where can I find the username and password if they’re auto set? If I plug in the ASU’s router will this auto setup username and password as well?

thanks

It only auto sets an EE router. So you plug in the EE router 1st & look for the BB Username it has set. Then unless you are a v. old EE user you can work out the pwd from the link I gave.
