Smarthub 7 Pro Issues (lots)

I'm now on my second router in 10 days after 'upgrading' from wifi6. Arrived today. I'm expecting a second replacement extender in a couple of days as the one I've got will not connect unless it's wired.

The main issue I am having at the moment though is port forwarding. The port I forwarded worked fine on wifi 6 and worked fine on last week's smarthub 7 pro. However, when I create it in the admin/advanced pages and save it then go back out and come back in again it's disappeared, isn't showing and doesn't appear to be working.

Any ideas if I'm doing something wrong? As far as I'm aware I've done the same thing as I have previously when its worked ok

Have you tried creating the port forwarding rule then clicking the + (plus) to create a second rule but not actually entering any data in the second then saving? It is the only way I can enter a port forwarding rule.

@Moordown66 See the post on that issue.

I've read through everything and unless I don't understand something, nothing on any of the other threads seems to address the issue that I am seeing.

I can go in and create a port forwarding rulepf1.jpg

I then save it and everything looks finepf2.jpg

It doesn't work though - and if I go back in and check, the rule has disappeared, putting me back where I was when I started

This exact rule worked perfectly with my wifi6 router, and worked ok with the Smarthub 7 Pro router I was originally sent (I was sent a replacement as the extender wouldn't work - it still doesn't so I'm getting another one of them delivered).

I saw posts about Windows firewall potentially causing issues so tried it with it disabled and had exactly the same result. I've reset the router as another post suggested. Same result.

Really don't know where to go from here

How odd!

What browser/operating system are you using? Have you tried an alternative, or maybe attempt to do it on a smartphone?

Any other settings on the hub that you've changed from default?
Any existing port forwarding rules listed? e.g. UPnP rules

Only other suggestion I have, if you haven't tried already, is that you factory reset again and try configuring the rule with the hub offline i.e. before you connect it to the Openreach ONT to establish an Internet connection.

I hadn't tried that but I did and guess what? It worked! Brilliant - thanks for that

You need to 1st press the '+' to the R of the rule before it becomes operative. Then you can "Save" it. It would've been the same with your earlier routers.
