My line needed repair. In the process the hub got disconnected. It came back fine but the smart disc didn't. I have tried disconnecting it and setting it up again but it no longer boosts the WiFi. Do I need to get another disc or is there something else I can try?

The right lights are all on, it just isn't boosting the WiFi and it was

Thank you. Called the Tech support line and now fine. It appears I needed to use a different ethernet socket on my hub. Maybe. Anyway, fixed now. Though the disc did not behave as expected when I did the factory reset it did work. Thanks all

@rjhinde   Have you reset the disk back to factory settings and repaired it back to your router using a Ethernet cable ?

Thank you. How do I do a factory reset? I haven't tried that.

Bear in mind I am v old and all a mystery.

@rjhinde  on the back of the disk there is a small hole you push a pin into that and hold it in there for 30 seconds it has to be powered up at the same time.

if I remember correctly it’s on the back at bottom towards the right.  It’s near one of the buttons I can’t remember if this is the WPS button or the power button i’m working from memory on this.

use the EE Home app to help set it up.

Thank you. I have tried that and now the smart disc just has a flashing red light.

Thanks for trying that, @rjhinde.

If you're still unable to get the disc working I'd recommend getting in touch with our Broadband Care team so they can run through additional troubleshooting steps with you.

A red light means this

Red There’s a problem somewhere Using the Power button, turn your router off and on again. If the light still doesn’t turn aqua, use a paper clip to press your router’s factory reset button
