Smart Router - light is still green but working ok

Hi all,

I have just connected my new smart wifi router (the white one). The light is solid green when the instructions say it should be aqua. I've tried the factory reset button as suggested.

The broadband is however working OK - does it matter about the light being the wrong colour?

@MarkE1  the light on mine is green when it’s set to low and aqua when it’s set to high.
The power change makes it look green or aqua.     Providing it’s working that’s all that matters.  I have this light switched off anyway as my router is in a cupboard.

Thanks Chris_B,

Yes my light is now Aqua thanks to Pie_Hole's help, its just I get this nagging feeling that things are not quiet right when things don't go according to plan when installing equipment, as I suggested it would be a good idea if the router was shipped with the display being 100% instead of 50% then it would display the correct colors on set up, then we can turn them off or down.  I'm happy now 😊

@MarkE1  It would be better still if EE used different colours.    Green is just indicating the router is starting up this needs to be a different colour,  blue would be best so EE can still have the aqua colour for when it’s up and running. ( it’ll still look green on low though ) EE has to have their corporate colour. Lol.

Yes Chris_B that's a good idea having different colors and Blue is not used in the start up sequence so that would be a good way to go in the future.  For real corporate ID how about this, you could have an LED (Aqua) underneath the EE Logo which could illuminate the Logo to indicate the router was functioning properly!

That worked fine, well done for having the actual answer 👏
