Hi all,
I have just connected my new smart wifi router (the white one). The light is solid green when the instructions say it should be aqua. I've tried the factory reset button as suggested.
The broadband is however working OK - does it matter about the light being the wrong colour?

I had the same issues. All working fine but light was green rather than Aqua.
I played around with the light settings on the app. I switched it the light setting to high and it changed to Aqua. Set it back to low and changed to green.
So the colours on the booklet, are only correct if the settings are on high.
Hope that helps anyone else that comes across the issue.

I have exactly the same issue. I rang 150 and they said it sounded like a faulty unit.
This is the start up sequence:
Solid lime green
47s - hear an audible click (like a relay)
1.28m - flash aquamarine
1.48m - hear another audible click
2.13m - flash amber
2.27m - solid amber
2.53m - flashes aquamarine for a split second then goes solid green
This is with the replacement unit. These colours seem to bear no resemblance whatsoever to what is in the manual, but once it hits solid green in connects to the internet fine.
Is this the same sequence that other people are getting?
Thanks.

Just an update on the colour sequence on the router. I'm just off the phone to a different guy on 150 who says they get this a lot and they've fed it back but nothing's been updated in the literature.
So now I'm left having to package up the first router, which evidently has nothing wrong with it and have to take it to a post office in the middle of a Covid epidemic - thanks EE!

@Tracey34 I had the same issue of a solid green light but everything working perfectly. Saw this post, changed the setting to high and it changed to aqua. Thank you so much. 👍

I just wanted to add to what Tracey34 mentioned.
I was having the same issue as everyone here, with the Internet working fine, but the light being green and not turning aqua.
It seems that the colours are wrong until you open the EE Home App, go through the Router Checks until you see Light Settings, and switch them to high.
Once the light settings are on high, the Green appears Aqua.
So, if you're finding a solid green light, but expecting aqua, download the EE Home App, and change the light setting from low to high.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Hi
I have experienced the same Green light as many others.
I have found a solution which is simple and satisfying
Simply adjust the brightness right up and the green becomes aqua.

Hi gsut1,
Yes I have just upgraded from a Bright Box 2 (as there was only one Giga Lan Port) to the White Smart Router. I connected Smart Router up as described in the manual then switched the Smart Router on and the same sequence of lights happened for me ending in a solid green light being displayed. I waited a while and I was not connected to the internet but the router was working.
Next I pressed the reset button with a paper clip for 30 seconds (as recommended by a relative in tech support). The Smart Router went through the same sequence and ended up solid green and after a few minuets connected with the internet and has stayed that way. The Smart Router is working well and my network speeds are excellent with transfer speeds between various devices of nearly 900 MB/s so my upgrade has been a great success however it still displays a green light, could this be inaccurate info in the manual and online support? does any body have a lovely EE Aqua light on their Smart Router.?

No I think it is an error saying it should be an Aqua light.

Hi Pie_Hole,
Well stone the crows after all the thought that has gone into this green light issue, I took your advice and hey presto an Aqua light, so the default setting for the display should be 100% instead of 50% this is obviously confusing a great many users, happy days!
MANY THANKS Pie_Hole agreat and simple solution.
