Smart Hub devices only appear on webpage

We've just been "upgraded" from the BT hub to the EE Smart Hub. I'm looking to rename my devices so I know what's what and understand that this can *only* be done in the app <rolls eyes>.

However, some devices listed on the "Hub Manager" webpage don't appear in the "Devices" list on the app.

Consequently, how can I rename those devices?

Thanks.

Good morning @pj483, welcome to the EE Community!

Which devices is it you're not seeing in the app, and are these connecting and working as they should do otherwise?

It could be worth disconnecting these and setting up a fresh connection with your network too.

Hi @Peter_W .

Yes, these devices are all functioning without issue. They don't fall into a particular category (network devices, PCs, TVs, etc).

What do you mean by "setting up a fresh connection"?

Thanks again.

@pj483 Normally when you see the device in the Hub Manager at least you know it is connected, and sometimes even though you do not see it in the manager it can still be connected, when you do not see it in the app, there is no way to force it to be seen, and you will NOT be able to rename the device. It seems fairly common for some ring devices, and some Asus extenders, more to do with quirks in the router manager and app software. Mac device listed in the manager, not able to get name translation, has recently sorted itself out so no mac  as a name device listed, but selected existing name in the router device pool and no longer in app, so stuck at present and not worth the effort to try and fix out.
