Hi there so hoping someone can help so im running windows 11 on desktop pc and only recently ive got the smart hub plus and in the smart hub manager it is now showing as not secure cause of a security certificate and when im doing port forwarding rules the rules are duplicating themselves on certain port forwarding rules and im noticing at times when i go to save the port forwarding rules at times im getting errors where they don't save properly.
i believe this issue is caused by a firmware update bug. the firmware number on my smart hub plus is : r3.8.24-R-1531355-PROD-83002.
ive tried the following :
1. restarted the router and same issue
2. ive factory reset router and still get same issue
3.getting the same issue using a browser on my phone being Samsung S24. (Android 16)
i know this issue is not a desktop pc related issue as ive only recently done a fresh install of windows 11 25h2.
to add to this i have had port forwarding rules set for a Xbox series X using the same smart hub plus in the past which worked but have now been removed but when setting port forwarding rules for my desktop pc on windows 11 being my gaming pc im getting this issue.

The security/certifcate observation is expected. That's been recently introduced and is a side-effect of forcing all of the Hub Manager traffic through an HTTPS connection.
I've also seen the port forwarding issue before. When creating a rule the web interface gets itself into a muddle and sometimes duplicates entries on saving, or returns an error (803, from memory). If you try deleting one of the duplicate rules, it removes them both.
I've been able to get things to behave with a bit of persistence though. How complex is your network? If you have a lot of extenders etc. connected, or anything else that might 'tax' the Hub Manager then I'd suggest temproarily switching them off, restarting the hub, waiting a good ten minutes or so for things to 'settle' and then try inputting your port forwarding rules again. Perhaps saving after each one. That way if you get duplicates, they don't all get removed when you try deleting them.

I've been experiencing a poorer connection over the last few days. So I decided to login to the hub to see what the uptime was and maybe reboot it.
I see they have done an update requiring a secure connection. Now that I get in I can't see the uptime without the Admin password. Sigh. Can't be bothered to find it and type that in

@AndyPK - perhaps take the time to change the admin password to something that you'll remember?

the security/ certificate is where ee havent updated it like they should do. port forwarding issue has only started since the hub has been a newer updated firmware didnt have the issue in the past. there is no extenders being used on the router only a 4 port lan switch which has been restarted at the same time as doing the router.
ive got 4 devices running via lan switch and then there 9 devices using wi-fi.
im fully aware about how to do a power cycle which has been tried and the issue is still there. as i know a lot about computers as i repair them for a hobby and did time in college learning all about re building them and stuff to do with networking.

No it isn't. The cause of the security warning is articulated pretty well here. What exactly do you propose EE update? 🤔
Are you saying that no matter how many times you try configuring your port forwarding rules, they're either not saving or are duplicating? I've definitely seen the duplication before, but after another attempt or two, I managed to get things to 'stick'. Trying from scratch just now, it was fine first time round 🤷
