Hi. I have been trying to import some VCF into the hub (DV land line), but I keep getting the error aforementioned. Any clues? I have spotted a similar thread and checked the VCF file in Notepad++ in Windows. It has the CRLFs and it is UTF8 encoded. I have tried to weed out the non-essential info (JPEG encodings etc) from the VCF, but no luck. Any documentation on this matter or it is left as usual, in a limbo, by EE?
Regards.

@JulianP Which EE router are you using, and would look see that it is up at latest FW, that did stop a lot of the chop error's. And EE no document regarding import of the DV but do know were yo are looking post wise.

Smart Hub DH31B. Where do I find firmware downloads for this one?

@JulianP You don't, FW is updated by EE normally in an overnight quite time, there is nothing that you can do, the router SH31B, do you know what version? http://192.168.1.254 will get you to page, and under status you will see the version.

It's definitely a thing for non savvy. I would have imagined like 99% it's all done behind the scenes. It's so armoured user tinkering wise, I sometimes feel like I want chop it into pieces. I have a Cisco and Vigor behind it in triple NAT, but I need this primitive thing for my DV.
Firmware: r1.34.1-R-1055417-PROD-83002r 1 . 3 4 . 1 - R - 1 0 5 5 4 1 7 - P R O D - 8 3 0

@JulianP FW you have is currently the latest. So would look to direct connect ethernet cable your device to the EE router that way and try the import for your DV script, Chop errors have gone away with this FW, but just not completely think i may have seen 1 or 2 over the last couple of months. DV is always the killer, good luck let forum know with your success, you are probably one of the few trying to do this on the new EE router....👍

@JulianP Not sure if you have seen this link, and if anything helps on it?

Success via manual editing that vcf format entries. It's tedious, but easier than entering the details on the phone itself. I had actually browsed that link few days agoa as it is the only link on this subject on the Internet, but I was expecting an extended flexibility on the hub import formats.
It's bizzare to shoot a product on the market with such a poor documentation / compatibility. The business priorities are definitely towards some other directions.
One more problem is that whatever you import it overwrites on the phone, well hub, contacts wise. So, the "database" has to maintained on the .vcf file only.
Thank you.

@JulianP That's the main problem, phone stores nothing, all stored on the router and with no way to export the database what were they think about!!! Do they not know people will add on the phone and then mismatch. Glad you found out and you are one of the few, not one of the many.... Do not have any expectations and you will be well there.🤔👍
