WiFi Speeds

AC1200
5 GHz: 867 Mbps (802.11ac)
2.4 GHz: 300 Mbps (802.11n)

Deco M4 | AC1200 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System | TP-Link United Kingdom

Ethernet connected to the EE Hub shows the FF900 connection is good, after that it's all distance on wireless wifi, and your remote TP has to pass back and forth to the EE wireless so that may be just what your issue is.

Deco M4R limiting my bandwidth from 400 to 200 mbps. Help! : r/TpLink

@Skr167 WiFi mesh issue, turn the M4 off.

If I turn it off then in my far end top floor get low signal and speed with EE hub hence I had mesh.

I will give it a try with turning off mesh and see what speed I get.

@Skr167 Your EE speed at 600Mb/s is fine and could be what you expect, the 200Mb/s mesh is also fine and that could be what is expected also.

You have not supplied anything else that gives anyone any information, the M4 is old and may not push more than the 5/600Mbps even on it's own.

Hi Jim. Thanks for your input.

Not sure what else info I can provide. I googled and saw my dec M4R supports up to 1186mbps which is split between 2.4 ghz and 5.

I am using 5ghz sitting next to deco which can go up to 800mbps but getting under 200mbps is very low.

Also with ee broadband sitting next to it from my phone getting speed test from online speed test site gives me under 600 mbps.

I did tried Ethernet with laptop and getting close to 800.

Only thing is that I didn't switch off deco because all my devices and cameras connected to mesh and switching them over to ee is a painful process.

I will may be try at early morning tomorrow may be that will help.

@Skr167 You can try it, have only ever used Tp-Link direct connected on the ONT with NO EE Hub in the loop, but they were way higher spec than yours and multiple units therefore true TP mesh, not mix and match like you are trying to do.....
