Router

Hi.

Just in process of switching from BT to EE. I was told on the sales call I'd get a new router, and pretty sure they said it was better than my current one. I've chased up EE as I've not received a new router yet with the switch date in 2 days. They're now saying I won't get a new router, old one is fine/compatible.  Seems pretty poor to me but before I call to cancel, how do I know if this is true or I'm being fed lies and they're just out of stock? And mainly trying to understand if the promised router would be better or not

 Thanks

Hi

It's the BT smart hub 2.

They also said I would get new mini hubs as part of the deal to improve WiFi throughout the house. I'm assuming they're going to say we don't need those either and to stick with the current discs.  Is there difference between those also?  The current discs are the black ones, can't see a model number.

Thanks

It is weaker than the EE Smart Hub Plus, the router you should get with EE New BB, at least as far as wireless is concerned. It's only WiFi-5 as opposed to WiFi-6.
