I have just got Fibre Plus Broadband, everything works ok, but I am curious as to why I have received a black router, as when you see all the adverts fibre plus comes with a white router, is there any difference between the two?

@VnM   The white one is a Smart router and to my knowledge is only available in white.    Can you post a picture of the router you have ?

The white Smart Router is only provided with FTTP products i.e. EE's Full Fibre BB. Fibre Plus comes with the black Smart Hub. See these details shown at the PoS when you are ordering it:Capture.JPG

The main diff is that the EE Smart Hub can separate the wireless bands/SSIDs, but the EE Smart Router can't.

Hi,

I think I understand, by the sound of it when they tested the line we were able to get Fiber Plus and not full Fiber. Am I right on that?

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.
