Router not working after elec tripped

LyndaHB
Explorer

It went through start up process but aqua light keeps flashing intermittently along with a white flash, I disconnected from power for about 15 mins and it all came back briefly but then went off again, TV isn't even seeing the hub and aqua light has gone very dull, any suggestions?

It's probably frazzled the PSU. If it's a SH+ they are dodgy anyway. See EE Sending out Replacement Power Supplies for its Smart Hub Plus's. Call CS for a replacement.

It's a Smart Hub.Sent from my Galaxy

@LyndaHB It would seem that the EE Smarthub+ version is the only one with the faulty PSU unit, so the link below you can see if that is the unit you have from the Pictures!

Hi, yes have established it is a faulty power supply they are sending a new one but won't arrive till tues/weds. Long time with no TV or WiFiThinking about going to curry's to buy a new router but really don't know what to get?I could by a universal adapter but again don't know if it will workSent from my Galaxy

@LyndaHB Main trouble is the barrel connection size, so you need a 12V D.C adapter with CENTRE positive and a 3.5mm/1.35mm barrel connection, and ideally rated at 2.5Amps on the DC current.

Do it wrong and you will need a new EE Router also, so be careful.

Cannot advise what Router you need as you have not indicated what you currently are connected too!

They are sending a new router as well, it is a new EE Smart Hub plusHave ordered a Universal adaptor that seems to match up, it has various heads one of which looks identical, it will be here tomorrow,  I was just hoping I might be able to buy something similar in a shop today?Thank youLyndaSent from my Galaxy

@LyndaHB Not easy to find shop wise, and the Amazon one i recommended is out off stock wonder why?

See attached I ordered one of these from Amazon and it appears to be working fine, thank god, don't think we would survive another 3 days without Broadband.!!!!Thank you for all your help.RegardsLyndaSent from my Galaxy
