Would anyone be able to confirm please if it’s possible to remotely restart a router via the EE app on EE broadband?
I am still on BT and this is a feature I greatly value in the BT app when I’m away from home. On the assumption that I get moved over to EE at the next contract renewal, I wanted to check ahead of time that I won’t lose this feature.

It’s a life saver for clearing connection issues for home security and digital voice for example when away from home. Also a great feature to clear issues for elderly parents, saving hours of drive time and fuel in having to visit to resolve issues.

Thank you. That would certainly make me reluctant to move over.

You can do it two ways with BT (that I know of). Either through the app, or by using the SMS Help bot which after the initial Help command will then give you an option to text back the word REFRESH and that will trigger a restart.
Both very useful.

@ShadowCreek The EE app had started to do remote control over mobile network, but i have now left EE and no longer have app specific that can be seen, and cannot swear that you could/could not do a remote restart, think you could local connection hit restart via the app. You need to have someone with a working system test for you. Hopefully the post is seen and you get a reply.
New EE certainly has the HELP and REFRESH to the 66033.
