I have tried to contact EE I have been given a Mobile Broadband instead of a Home Brand, I had contacted BT to tell them I know longer use landline I was then told I could be upgraded with a SmartHub. Signal is not great for wifi purposes can anyone assist.

Welcome to the EE Community.
It's not usual to transfer from Home Fixed Broadband to a Mobile Broadband as part of an upgrade.
Have you been supplied a Hybrid Connect router? This uses traditional fixed line Broadband connection with a Mobile connection as a backup.
