I just had an e-mail from EE that my broadband is going up quite a bit, I have only just signed up for a two year contract. I thought the government had band this practice.

At the mo' Ofcom only proposes a ban on inflation-linked mid-contract price rises. A decision is likely to be made in Spring 2024 & is likely not to affect EE's 2024 price rise but to take effect in 2025.

@SNG If you had took this out at the end of march coming you wouldn’t have been affected by this year’s price increase.
You obviously took this out in a period that does get affected by this price increase and this would have been a part of the agreement that you had to look over/or had explained to you.
