I have just received this through the post purportedly from EE
"One of our customers told us they're moving to your address and they'd like to take over the broadband service on 13/04/2023
If you're not moving or we've got the wrong date, please contact your current supplier as soon as you can You can also call us on 0330 123 1105 for more information"
I have lived in the same address for 30 years and I have no intention of moving. The 0330 number is a total waste of time and the grammar in this letter tells me that this has hardly come from a supposedly reputable communications company. Has anyone else had this letter?

Sounds like it could well be a genuine letter from EE to me, ie, EE could be doing the prep work and homework before a potential Customer move.
If you don't wont to deal with EE on the 0330 Number then just ring your existing Broadband Supplier just to check that no changes or terminations are being planned.
If you not using or don't have a Broadband Supplier, then you could choose to ignore everything.
If someone does move in to your Address on the 13/04/2023, please Post back and let us know how you got on. 😉

@Joethebuilder : That is a typical letter sent to a householder when somebody else has applied to an ISP to have BB installed at the householder's address. Typically it will be sent when someone is buying & moving in to the house, but in your case, most likely, the other person has written down the wrong house no., yours, on their application to the ISP for BB.
AS a matter of interest where is the bad grammar in this letter?

@Joethebuilder wrote - I have just transferred broadband from BT to EE so I guess this is just another administrative error.
You changing your Broadband from BT to EE, and now you have received a Letter from EE saying they are taking over your Service.

It's not an admin error! That letter is talking all about you, Your application to EE has triggered it. You are moving; moving your BB from 1 ISP to another. EE are not to know that you already live there but with BB from BT.
