I was expecting EE to go live with my broadband on 2/8, there was a delay with Openreach coming out to instal fibre optic, when they did come they decided that some of the public footpath needed digging up which has to be done by a council representative.   In your experience how long does this take?  Sky were meant to disconnect me yesterday but haven’t. Will sky stay connected until EE has he set up?  Struggling to contact EE for an answer.  Thank you

The timing would depend on the local council & OR.

Your present BB should stay connected until EE BB is installed. What type of BB do you have with Sky?

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Umm. Not Fibre Optic , just regular broadband 🤔

Have you cancelled with Sky yourself? The normal migration rules don't apply when moving from non-FTTP to FTTP (Full Fibre) cuz it is not being replaced over the same landline.

Yes I cancelled with them but I’ve gone past my disconnect date so maybe it will be ok. Thank you
