Open Reach cable cut

There have been works carried out by water company Severn Trent. They ended up cutting the open reach cable without notifying us. We have had no Internet for over 2 days. EE customer Service has told us that they can not confirm if the cable will be fixed on the 3rd day as Open Reach does not communicate well with EE. The only solution they gave is to hotspot through a mobile device. Started to think we would be better off with BT than EE, they say they are the same but past few communications have proven otherwise.

Hi @tanwir84

Wow, Do you understand the logistics here in laying new cables and obtaining authority from the council to dig up the area or keep the area open to groundworks, contracting the works out.. Then there is the claim against Seven Trent or likely there subcontractors.

This issue is not EE/BT fault and there solution in the interim is generous.

Thanks
