Hi,
I am about to return to the EE fold and my full fibre broadband switches over tomorrow.
Now the cheap and cheerful Hub 7 is not sufficient for me so I have a higher spec 3rd party item that I wish to connect straight away.
To connect the alternative device I need the bb user id and pwd.
The hub 7 only comes with it's admin and wifi password card, this doesn't help me as I need the broadband connection password and associated credentials.
EE app is no use, the EE support line has an hour plus wait , how can I obtain the essential information I require to setup my equipment?
Any suggestions as I want to jump from current provider to EE and just change settings on my router to facilitate that without using the hub 7!
Thanks in advance

@XRaySpeX There is NO guess, we were talking against the ONT nothing else.

Proof will be when setting user and pwd to the generic BT shizzle and seeing if my router connects seamlessly or if I will have the joys/pain of an EE "Guide" searching for an actual set of credentials that works after spending an inordinate amount of time on the phone 🤳🙄

Unless you have been on EE BB before & your old creds are still valid after your return to EE, which I would doubt, there will not be such an actual set of credentials. New joiners are never given the old style creds.

2 years since I was last with EE so unlikely credentials are still valid...
Will post if generic new style credentials work upon tomorrow's switch over 🤞

No reason not to!

All good, BB dropped off in the night, 1st thing changed credentials to those required for 3rd party router connection 👍 speed is as advertised and it's stable so far.
Thanks to JimM11 and XRaySpeX for responding to my question!
All we need now is for EE and others to drop the unjustified mid contract RPI price hike and all is well! Contract should be same price for the full duration in my opinion.

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

@Demonix You can wish, but more than likely never going to happen hopefully they never charged you the £30 for the pleasure of joining also.
