Having had some awful experiences with Sky Broadband ( maintained by Open Reach) I switched to EE so I could get an or engineer to look at my issues.
Open Reach have been out to cure a problem twice in a flooded street box. They assure me they have a feed of 58mbps to the house. Indoors I’m getting 12mbps. But OR won’t enter the property. Sky lead times for engineers are over 2 weeks. But I’m convinced this is an issue with the wiring indoors.
Connected the EE router and are getting 50+ mbps around the home measur on Netflix which is great. But the Sky Q box won’t hold a connection for more than 5 minutes. This may because of distance between router and Sky box. So I need the router moved. I have been without streaming for 3 weeks from Sky. I tried to get an engineer booked prior to switchover day but EE would not do that. I was promised “ if you have problems just call us and we’ll book an engineer”. I have not been able to contact anyone except to wait in long cues which promise an answer in one min and 10 minutes later you’re still waiting.
Enough is enough. I have cancelled my direct debit and don’t see why I should pay for any services I haven’t had. I will cancel my EE connection as soon as Skylink install their system early in November. Already their service and communication has been miles better than EE.
i wonder if anyone will respond to this?

@Profile closed Doubt you will get any response on your post. The Forum is public and the EE guides have no access or even know how you are, cancelling you DD is not advisable and will lead you down a path you would not wish to go, as for service as soon as you went live the service started so you do have something to pay. You also have to cancel within 14 days, otherwise you will be held accountable for the FULL 24 months payment upfront.
Your OLD Sky Q TV box, was it working fine connected to the sky Hub or a Sky Q booster on it's network?
[Mod edit: Removed wording that could be considered disrespectful.]

@Profile closed Do as you wish, can only give you advise and what you have done is NOT the way to do it, leaving it all up in the air, because of what you have done. EE will have no choice to pursue it all for non payment, contract and full ETF for the 24 months. You really need to call get EE CS and tell them to cancel, then get an e-mail it is all done.
Looks like your next victim is not part of the OTS so up to you to deal with it all. Link below the info you may need.
What you need to know if you want to leave EE
If you send a text to EE CS as the following then expect EE to call you back, its GUIDE to 66033. 8pm is the close time this evening now keep that in mind.

What speeds are reported by running the speed test in the EE app? That will not only measure the raw BB connection speeds you are getting at the router as well as speeds to the device from which you are testing.
Cancelling the DD is not the way to do it. It does not cancel your obligations under the contract & leaves you open to marring your credit history & being chased by debt collectors. You have a statutory cooling-off period up to 14 days after installation to cancel your contract FoC.
You may write to them giving your cancellation at:
EE Customer Services
6 Camberwell Way
Sunderland
Tyne and Wear

Include your name, address, EE account number and/or address of your EE BB location.
Your cancellation will be taken from when they receive your letter.
