No WiFi signal in parts of my house since forced to EE from BT.

In March 2025 I was due to renew my BT Broadband (Full Fibre 100).

I connected BT to discuss & was told they were moving everyone to EE, but the only thing that would change was the name; in fact, I would have a faster speed for the same price. I reluctantly moved to EE Full Fibre 150 Essentials. I have the same BT router

Since then, the WiFi has been slower in all areas of the house, and only intermittent in the kitchen (furthest point from the router). The smart plug in my shed no longer receives any WiFi.

We have not added any new devices needing WiFi; the router is in the same place; this problem exists even if I am the only one in the house.

I was on the phone for over an hour to EE 2 weeks ago to resolve the issue. They initially told me the only solution was for me to pay for WiFi extenders, which I don't want to do given my WiFi worked fine when I was on BT Full Fibre 100. EE then sent an engineer to resolve the "WiFi congestion"- he was here 10 minutes & it made no difference.

I have a disability which means I prefer email communication, & I need reliable internet connection day to day.

Any suggestions of what to do next?

this is a speed test just now, from the lounge.

@ReShine Pictures take time to be approved and checked before released for viewing, but in the meantime, have you been asked to Factory Reset that BT Smarthub2 Router or has anyone else done so recently with the visit's etc! Will look at the picture when cleared! Have a read at this linked post also working on with other OP!

@ReShine Have seen the speed test, take it that you did wireless w-fi speed test, and where is the Router in that same location? Network is all shared and if possible Ethernet connected is always more preferred!

Wow,all good replies but at the end of the day don't join EE yet,I went over got the new EE hub and 3 booster enhancers and I lost broadband badly, had to reconnect cctv cameras, which didn't work properly and my mps went down considerably,,,EEs response,,reconnect the original BT hub and booster discs,I did although a bit better it still wasn't as good as BT,,EE are not that good,YET,so don't transfer just yet.

This is a bit of a confusing thread. The broadband connection your hub is connected to has absolutely no bearing on your Wi-Fi  coverage. In the case of @ReShine, if nothing has been done to the BT equipment and it's just the underlying broadband connection that has been changed, then it has to be an (un)happy coincidence; there's no way that this would lead to Wi-Fi blackspots.

I'll try factory reset now.

I found some BT WiFi extender discs & connected them but it hasn't resolved the issue.

The speed test was done in a room slightly away from the router & wireless. I'll do one next to router, but it will be wireless again.
