I recently swapped to EE WIFI after a long period with BT where they were constantly throttling my download speeds to roughly 5% of what i paid for. After the swap I installed a new smart hub 2 which the phone representative I spoke with insisted was better than my previous router, the router however instantly broke Discord and many games that I play through steam on my computer. There's constant rubber banding and I just can't use discord at all. I spoke with another representative and after getting a new router and a week later a WIFI booster to try to fix the issue it has only gotten worse with the general connection being run into the floor. For claiming that the service is a great choice for gamers EE have done starkly little research about how their hardware affects actual software gamers use.
Does anyone have any fixes for my problems, I've done some research and found some spotty information that the issues that I'm facing have something to do with the variable IP model that new EE routers use where you can also share an IP with other users in the area, I've also heard varying information about whether I can call them up to get a fixed IP or not.
Overall extremely disappointed with the service so far given as it basically can't even handle uploading an image to a chat let alone streaming a game, which I was able to do fine on my older (and apparently antiquated) BT fixed IP router without the use of an internet booster.

@DL7274 Better get a couple of them as per @XRaySpeX advice, when BT request the return of the router, least you will have something to send them.
If you have a line fault, you may wish to get that checked out, the EE Smarthub+ although a typical ISP router works well when the line is good. You do not mention how you are connected, if you post that info back we may be able to offer advice best way to go about that.

Hi there,
I had the same issue with discord after switching to EE, using a VPN fixed the issue for me
