New Router

I had a new Router from EE about 12 months ago, did not use it as I did not want to change all my devices logins I am thinking of going to FF so would have to use the new router

After a lot of research I decided to "bite the bullet"

Changed all the settings to compatible WiFi, Wap2/ 3 etc accepted insecure password and everything works except my cctv cameras, 3 in total

I have now spent 2 days and they will NOT connect to the system except the Guest WiFi

Is it OK to leave them on this and why

@Mike11 Your choice, just keep the EE one then and do as you need to for connecting all your devices that do not work.

All solved, connected the old BT router as a slave, put it in the front loft, fitted a TP Link repeater in back loft and everything started working.

Seems the new EE router is not as powerful as the old BT one regardless of what the EE tech guys say

Thanks for all your help

@Mike11 As long as it's all working that is your main requirement and doing so you will have more wifi about with the additional hub piggy backed on the connection.

The toaster tripped the electric this morning, when I reset the power non of my cameras or other equipment would work

So fed up with it all I connected  my old BT router on and EVERYTHING  came back online within 2 minutes

I don't know what software is in the EE router that is blocking everything including my hard wired equipment

I might buy another BT smart hub 2 as a backup incase anything ever happened to the one I am using

I NEVER WANT TO SEE AN EE HUB EVER AGAIN

@Mike11 The BT Smart Hub 2 is honestly not a bad hub even in the current wifi 7 world, the EE Smart Hub 6 + version is a workable/doable also but does take a little fenagling at times to eek out what is required for device connection, that you do not need with the BT version. As you say what works and works best is what to use. Good luck with it all.🤞
