My place notifications. Network instability

BarryDu
Visitor

I am becoming concerned that the infrastructure installed around my particular “My Place” is becoming or is unstable.  I continually and frequently receive text messages that there is an issue that needs to be resolved and indeed on some occasions am informed that it is going to take longer to resolve.  My question is, has the local system been ‘globally’ addressed as to its robustness and fit for purpose? Thus achieving, if found sound, an acceptable sound service that does not continually ‘fall over’; as is being demonstrated by the messages of failure I am receiving. If so please could the confidence or not be shared with we ‘mere mortals’?

Good morning @BarryDu.

Welcome to the Community 😊

As @XRaySpeX and @bristolian have highlighted here, MyPlaces updates are updates for the status of our mobile network, and these faults can sometimes be complex, sometimes requiring periods of monitoring and further amendments.

If these updates are no longer relevant to you, you can reach out to our customer care team, and they can cancel these for you.

Isn't “My Place” for informing you of issues with your local mobile network & masts, not for issues with your local BB infrastructure?

Indeed so. "My places" is for proactive updates on known issues with the mobile radio network, not fixed-line.
