Moving abroad

Hi,

soon we will be moving abroad, and we have just subscribed to broadband a few months ago. Taking into consideration that we are moving abroad due to work, is there anyway we can cancel our contract without penalty?

thanks

@Nelsondmt : No, I don't see that EE has any reason to do this. You agreed with EE to take a BB contract for the full term, 18 or 24 months. It was not EE's doing that you decided to quit the premises, but yours.

You can see the method used to calculate your Early Cancellation Charges & some examples on p19 of EE TV, BROADBAND AND HOME PHONE Price Guide .

Well… I am very well aware that wasn’t ee choosing that I would move abroad. I don’t appreciate the sarcasm. My question was genuine as sometimes, some companies have exceptions on terminating existing contracts, moving abroad being one of them. But thanks for taking the time to replay to my post.

Just stating the facts, not intended to be sarcastic. Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance.

I don't know how many EE staff monitor these forums, but I would call up customer service and ask.

The other possibility is if it's a work move will your employer compensate you for the cost of cancelling your contract?
