Hello,
Following the introduction of ‘New EE’ I’ve agreed to move my broadband from BT to EE.
Whilst going through the sales script I queried whether I would be charged a disconnection fee by BT, which I was assured I wouldn’t.
I’ve since received an email from BT saying I would be charged a disconnection fee.
Has anyone had a similar experience?

Welcome to the EE Community,
It's processed as a upgrade through your BT account so you wouldn't face any termination charges.
Thanks

Had exactly the same.
Queried it with EE and got put through to BT- apparently, they will refund the disconnection charge. I asked them to put this in an email to me and got the below-
“I can confirm we will waive the Early Termination charge from your final BT bill once you start your broadband service with EE.
Please contact us here once your final bill has been issued. Final bills are issued between 7 and 10 working days from your service stop date.”
