Is it possible to keep my landline phone if getting FTTP installed? If so, which package do I need to select? I want the 900mb FTTP.
Also, does it have to be installed by a cable or can it be installed connected to the telegraph pole? A different provider advised us against their cable installation as there would be too much drilling and concreting and suggested we get fttp from a different provider from the telegraph pole instead.

You may keep your landline no. but as a Digital Home Phone. It is no longer delivered over wires but from the suppled BB router.

Thank you.
So at what point do I let them know that i want to keep the phone number... when I sign up (do I pay extra?) or when they come to install the FTTP? I can't see an option online for a package with a landline/option to keep number.

When you sign up. There's a Q "Want to keep your home phone number? (Optional)" on the 1st page of your online application. The eng. from OR who installs your FTTP BB has nowt to do with your contract.
The charge for Digital Home Phone ranges from £5 pm for PAYG to £20 pm for Unlimited minutes & International.

It says here under cost that there is no extra charge.
"The cost of the new Digital Home Phone and broadband service is all included in the your single package price. There's no extra charge for Digital Home Phone."

That's about switching your existing analogue EE Home Phone to digital.

Hi @Coz21, as @XRaySpeX has mentioned you can have a landline with any of the full fibre FTTP plans, you need to select this option as part of the order journey and choose a calling plan suitable for your needs.
If you enter your address details on this BT Wholesale checker the information under the checker results will let you know if the line will be provided from a pole or underground. It will state either UG feed (underground) or OH feed (overhead) which is from a pole. You won't be able to request an overhead connection from a pole if the Openreach infrastructure is underground.
Thanks

Thanks. I think it's saying that it will be overhead. Could you please confirm this if I post a screenshot?

@Coz21 Your screenshot hasn't worked. If you copy and paste the line of text I'll take a look.

@Neil-O : I can see it. It's the stuff below the table of a BTw Availability Checker.
