Just Joined EE Broadband: Speeds Not as Advertised

I have recently joined EE Broadband after leaving previous supplier after a dismal speed received after moving home. I live in a rural area that does not yet offer FTTP however joined EE following a far greater offer on a minimum download speed guarantee as well as expected speeds. Since joining we are yet to receive anything that was offered (barely hitting anything over 5mbs most days).

What options do I have? I tried speed tests and alike however it isn't getting any better. Looking for assistance before I approach EE Customer Service with my issue.

@Tdade   with FTTC/VDSL lines the Master Socket should have a filtered socket, which will stop broadband signals going to any of your other sockets . Without this, your speeds will be compromised.

Your line is capable of higher speeds, but it would appear that your internal wiring is limiting your speeds -  as well as possible line issues.

Give the team a call in the morning..

Not necessarily! It will have a filter to keep the BB off the voice, but doesn't have to have a filter to stop the BB going to the extension. The OP obviously doesn't have such a filter as he is getting BB at the extensions, just worse. It's a perfectly reasonable way to run BB particularly when there is no requirement for voice at the extensions. I run that way, with just a dangly filter.

Even w/out landline you could still take the router stats at the test socket to eliminate faults on your internal wiring.
