Issue with EE Broadband Switching Back to Old Sky Network

Hi everyone,

I recently switched from Sky broadband to EE broadband. For the first few months, everything was working fine with the new EE connection. However, a few days ago, I noticed that my WiFi reverted back to the old Sky network.

Here are the details:

  • Initially, the EE WiFi was working perfectly.
  • Suddenly, my devices started connecting to the old Sky network instead.
  • I'm currently using the new EE WiFi box, and all the indicator lights are green.
  • Despite this, the WiFi name and password are now those of the old Sky network.
  • I can't find the EE WiFi network in the list of available networks anymore.
  • I ran a diagnostic test, and it reported no issues.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any insights on what's happening? Should I be concerned about this issue? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Yihan

The only way your router has changed to your old sky settings is if someone has changed the SSID and password manually.

I suspect the peron who has done this is to save time reconnecting all the wifi devices as if the SSID and password are the same as your old sky router then devices should connect as normal without any need to change any wifi settings.

Thanks
