How to deactivate the SSIDs "ee wifi" and "ee wifi-x" from my Smart Hub Plus

Hi there, yesterday I started to get EE Home broadband, I have noticed that it shows the SSIDs: ee wifi (open) and ee wifi x (closed) networks too that other people can log in to if they have ee login details.

II'd like to opt out from this service. I did not agree to share my broadband with anyone else so would like to stop these other networks appearing.

I have looked through xx.xx.xx.254 dashboard settings and advanced settings and app but cannot see a way of stopping these sharing networks.

Can I please have some help to remove this SSIDs from my Smart Hub Plus, router model SH31B? thanks

@Leedsyorkshire The EE Smarthub+ does NOT transmit the both of the ssid that you say, You need to have a look about for a neighbour who has an old BT router that is still transmitting those wireless signals.

Hi , bit of a tangent answer . n question. matey

In EE wifi extra on manage networks in iphone wifi settings. i have four separate EE network services i.e

ee wifi, ee extra ,ee wifi plus etc ,

I dont connect to them but leave private relay addresses on , for privacy. but think im silly cos  im not connected or joined these networks.   ssids can be hidden n your correct about EE privacy advocates its  not good privacy practice on their customers

hi dont use ee wifi hotspots , diasble them on youre device n buy an unlimited data sim for lesss than £18 a month or family unlimited data sim  monthly only plan

@GeorgeJ And what happens if you are in an area with no mobile signal?

Oh yes it does I have now had 4 sh32bs and 2 BT SMART HUB 3s  for a different reason

The ee hub broadcast EE WiFi and  WiFi X but when changing to the BT hub that broadcasts BT WiFi and BT WiFi X all with no security don’t tell me my neighbours know exactly when I have changed from one hub to the other Now using an ASUS router on the 900 mbs FTTP both the rouge broadcast have gone how did my neighbours know to turn off the WiFi and WiFi X with no security At exactly the right moment ??? but the ASUS router has removed that issue and actually solved 2 other issues no imap email and no connection to laptops and I can still use the Free WiFi service while out and about

This is a work around while BT are still trying to fix my connection and IMAP email issues

I have the same issue ee wifi showing up along with secured ee wifi x. My neighbors hotspot is showing up also, wondered are they using the hotspot? Concerned now. I did the opt out thing but I had never opted in., so pointless.
