Can I get my Home Phone to sound a dialling tone?

Ah, sorry, I thought you meant a phone you already had - if it came supplied with the hub it should have a "pair phone" option in the setting menu. I'm not familiar with the phone suppiled with the EE Hub.

Isn't that handset a cordless DECT phone, not a base station? It's meant to pair with the incorporated DECT base station  in the router over DECT. Have you paired them by pressing the WPS button on the router?

Yes I’ve paired the handset and it’s working and able to make calls.

(I just didn’t know what DECT is)

When you go to make a call, do you not get a dial tone on the phone? On the BT digital voice handset, ( or indeed other wireless DECT handset)  if you press the green phone icon to make a call, you will normally hear a dial tone.

Are you saying you can make calls from it but you don't hear any dialtone while you are dialling it?
