Guest WiFi lost DHCP on new Firmware r2.68.18-R-1303195-PROD-83002

I'm using the Smart Hub Plus SH31B on firmware: r2.68.18-R-1303195-PROD-83002

When trying to use the Guest WiFi network, has anyone else lost the ability to… well, use it? Seems that it is no longer receiving an IP Address from DHCP.

And as I believe this Guest WiFI feature is a re-purposed BT/EE-WiFi mechanism (in other words, they took away the EE-Wifi network, but the 'function' of providing it, software-wise, I believe was repurposed to provide a segregated network, hence when it was working the IP Addresses were very much like the EE-WiFi ones in the 10.0.0.0 IP range and seem to be part of the internal BT/EE network rather than the main DHCP of the router), it therefore won't and doesn't rely upon the DHCP of the main 'My Network' section.

So, is this just me, or are do other people experience the same no IP Address provided when trying to use the Guest Network on this newer firmware level?

@WillKirk Just got the chance to take a quick look at the Advanced Technical log / events, as the Guest Network is switched and adjusted to suit, when you save the options then All is reset as it drops or connects the wireless Wi-Fi bands on the system, this would be expected as there is an adjustment to the FW antenna, sharing arrangement while it set's up the SSID/Frequency bands required, so in the event log, you will see the existing devices all re-connect to there original, and with a device on the main wi-fi you should be able to inspect what is going on at the Router level.

@JimM11 Well interestingly, I did get it working without the factory reset. I turned on the Compatible WiFi SSID. As you said, it seems to kick all WiFi and in this instance appears to have given the Guest WiFi a good kick too. So even though the Guest WiFI was already on, turning on a completely different setting made that one work… so either way, I'm happy with the outcome.

@WillKirk There is something major ally going on with this FW upgrade, but not been able to just pin the tail on the donkey with the sucker yet, DHCP is all over the place, Comp/Guest/Main just not sure if enough thought was put into the what if's scenario's, DV has disappeared not concerned with that may be a feature as not using, selection of mode gone, Ethernet Port's not fixed, 30 second connection time, no doubt that's a feature and at least the switch in front still works. Glad you are working, and really happy that the Factory Reset was not needed, has taken me hours to get a semi stable EE Router back in operation.👍
