I'm using the Smart Hub Plus SH31B on firmware: r2.68.18-R-1303195-PROD-83002
When trying to use the Guest WiFi network, has anyone else lost the ability to… well, use it? Seems that it is no longer receiving an IP Address from DHCP.
And as I believe this Guest WiFI feature is a re-purposed BT/EE-WiFi mechanism (in other words, they took away the EE-Wifi network, but the 'function' of providing it, software-wise, I believe was repurposed to provide a segregated network, hence when it was working the IP Addresses were very much like the EE-WiFi ones in the 10.0.0.0 IP range and seem to be part of the internal BT/EE network rather than the main DHCP of the router), it therefore won't and doesn't rely upon the DHCP of the main 'My Network' section.
So, is this just me, or are do other people experience the same no IP Address provided when trying to use the Guest Network on this newer firmware level?

Both bands turned on, 2.4ghz followed my fixed channel 1. and the 5Ghz followed the smart channel 100.
And double checked because where the IP is then normal web manager cannot be reached.
Anything else let me know, will keep it up for you for a couple hours....

@WillKirk Is that not by design to keep users on the Guest Network away from those on the main network?
The 10.0.0.x was used as an option for the main network on previous routers, and often used by routers with a Guest network. I doubt it has anything to do with the BR/EE WiFi service, other than using the same internal IP range.
You could check more by doing an IPCONFIG or similar on a device connected to the Guest network.

@WillKirk There is a lot more going on that is wrong about the latest FW release update. See the comp option now available on wireless screen, but the FW Update has completely scrambled my once working EE Smarthub+ network.
DHCP has played havoc on the network, turned off ALL the static IP's that were assigned, lost all Samsung devices mobile and TV, those must have been the enemy, got them back online now, Sony TV was shot to pieces, that was way more difficult to get back but sorted now, Asus laptop's been OK, but 5Ghz band seems to be not affected too badly, ((PS5 daughters fell to pieces, Dell laptop tumbled over, Apple iphone 8 threw the hands up in the air, Got those going as they were all through the Asus RP-AX58, EE Router still does not like it one bit what so ever still fighting that one currently)) Thanks EE for causing HAVOC on a good stable system!!!
Can confirm Ethernet is working OK with having to use Desktop to sort most off it out, STILL the 30 second port delay connection if anyone cares about that, switch in front reduces that to zero second logon... Been a long day but the back is broken on it now, the rest is a Saturday fix.

@WillKirk early days, and I do not have the EE router, but just trying to clarify.
Lets see if anyone else has the same issue.
Have you had a chance to reboot the router?

@WillKirk What are you using to have a look at what's going on with the EE Router, web manager or trying to do it all app.
I would take a look but will not be until later, trying hard to get back to basic with a normal network first.
As far as i can observe, wi-fi channels on the Main network have maintained as before both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, hidden is right along with them for both, and see with both Netspot and WiFi Analyzer app/windows program.
Have NEVER ever found that factory reset does any good, so that is an absolute No NO for me, have managed to get nearly everything back so far, fighting 2 issues currently and both are 2.4Ghz, and not work out the correlation between both yet.
Only survivor on this whole mess was my Powerline but that's ethernet connected, just hope that does not go belly up later. Power off/on did not help anything that i could see with regards to the EE Smarthub+, did help the Asus Rp but only on the 5Ghz band.

What IPv4 is reported when you do an ipconfig /all from a PC you've tried to connect to to the Guest network?

When attempting to connect to the Guest Network it is providing the APIPA range.
Was working previously, so I can only assume it is the update. Just looking for confirmation from someone else who could try it.

You mean from the subnet 169.254.x.y? Yes, indeed, that is no IP from the router's DHCP.
