Grateful for advice. I have ee fibre optic broadband. But router doesn’t get a signal up to the attic studio where I do live radio shows which I stream over the internet to the radio station server for onward broadcast. I need a constant wifi line with no breaks. The question is whether the ee extender at £100 does not drop out at all or whether it is possible for. ee to fit an extension cable from my main hub downstairs up the outside of the house to the attic and end in an Ethernet connector which I can then plug into my MacBook. Does anyone have any thoughts or similar experiences.

Which EE BB plan are you on including its speed? What EE router do you have (read its label)?

The WiFi extenders are £10 / month for the duration of the contract.

@Sundry999 Although EE would not offer to run an extension connection, there is no reason why you could not contact a local fitter to do so for you. Fitting the extender to the cable, needs to be Cat 5e or better, which would also give the option of better WiFi as well as Ethernet access where you want it.
The smart router plus does have extenders designed specifically for them.

@Sundry999 You would be better to if possible not rely on a wireless extender depending on possible signal interruption, cable from router would be best, local electrical trade installer to do that for you, but it may be possible to use a powerline device supplying your signal over the electrical power 2 units required one at the Router and one in the attic, have a look at the TP-Link range. 1 port or 3 port examples below. Just do not expect full speed especially through multiple floors but may be fast enough for your requirements.
