I have been with EE for 9 years, had multiple contracts with them at the same time and yesterday I decided to change my plan. The advisor upsold me to go with EE broadband £35 a month for 500mbs and 2x sim only a with unlimited everything for £10 each per month. Great deal considering I’ve been paying £147 for 24 months
i got declined on the credit check despite never missing a payment on anything, great credit score etc etc. I’ve spoke to a number of advisors and they are all baffled to why I am getting rejected… because I’m already pre approved for 3 additional phone contracts (which would be 5 in total).
An advisor rang me today and gave me a great deal on 2x sim only with unlimited everything for £12 a month each and that went through fine.
I am concerned that being failed on the credit check may have a negative effect on my credit score. Has anyone had a similar experience or found a solution?
Cheers

Hi @Crannerz
If a hard credit search was done then it will show in your credit file. You can download many free apps to check your credit record.
There are many different factors taken into account with credit checks.
